UK House @ SXSW

We achieved 'must see' status at SXSW in Austen, Texas, where UK House showcased the very best of UK innovation, technology, and creativity.

Co-located with the iconic British Music Embassy (BME) - which since 2007 has introduced acts like Idles and Amy Winehouse to the US – our downtown Austin venue hosted raucous live music by evening and was transformed by day into UK House SXSW.

A packed event programme saw 30 panels and presentations, featuring expert speakers from across Britain and the world, covering topics like immersive technology, innovation, art, and creativity in business.

We showcased 23 innovative UK businesses, facilitating meetings as part of a UK trade mission, and demoed immersive technology solutions in the UK House Experience Zone.

Our team managed the event programme, designed, and produced the website and digital brochure, and between 11 – 14 March, welcomed almost 10,000 people to BME and UK House.

Partners included Belfast City Council, Here East, UK Advertising Export Group, Royal College of Arts, British Underground & Arts Council, Marketing Manchester, BIMA, and Focus Wales.

David Moody, Advertising and Marketing Sector Specialist at DBT, said: “As an ex-agency person, I recognise good plate-spinning skills when I see them! UK House event was a great success with excellent feedback from all our companies and stakeholders.”
